The Journey Begins Tomorrow

Tomorrow, everything becomes real.

After months of preparation, training rides, route planning, fundraising, and excitement, we will finally board the train to London and begin the adventure we have been dreaming about for so long.

Our journey officially starts beside the iconic London Eye, where Teresa will set off on the first stage of her London to Paris ride in support of My Shining Star.

Day 1 will take us from the busy streets of central London to Crawley along the Avenue Verte route — 64.7 km (40.2 miles) of cycling through the city, quiet roads, countryside, and rolling hills. The journey is expected to take around 6 hours of riding time, making for a long but exciting first day in the saddle.

With temperatures expected to be high, tomorrow will also test us physically right from the start.

What makes this journey special is not just the distance or the destination, but the purpose beyond all of it: to support children and families facing battles far greater than a long bike ride.

Over the past few weeks, the support has been truly overwhelming. Every donation, message, share, and word of encouragement has helped carry this journey forward and reminded us that we are not riding alone.

Seeing so many people coming together behind this cause and Teresa has meant more to us than words can describe.

Incredibly, even before the first pedal stroke tomorrow morning, the fundraising target is almost achieved, with £949 already raised by 50 amazing supporters. The generosity, kindness, and belief people have shown in Teresa and this challenge has been absolutely unforgettable.

The bikes are ready for tomorrow morning first kilometres and perhaps Paris will feel a bit closer.
